It’s no secret that we have some amazing clients on What The Fork and so we’ve decided to start a monthly spotlight to highlight some of their success!
To kick things off we want to celebrate MC’s Takeaway. Since coming onboard with us in April, MC’s have made a conscious effort to direct their customers to use their own branded app over any other third party platform knowing that doing so allows them to save money in commission fees.
In August they decided to launch a new menu, utilise the in-app feature on their dashboard and increase their social media presence, posting between 1 and 3 times a day with links to their app on every post. As a result since the new menu launch their app downloads have increased by an incredible 95% and their sales have risen by almost 200%. It’s no surprise that MC’s Takeaway are nominated again for Restaurant of The Year at the Scotland Food Awards 2021.
We had a chat with owners Diane and Marco and asked a few questions on why they chose to go with What The Fork and what benefit they’ve had from being with us.
Why did you choose to go with What The Fork?
We loved the fact that it felt like more of a personal company, we’ve been with a few different providers and we just weren’t happy with the service. You’re not just there to sign us up and leave us to it, you’re always there if we need anything and actually care about us doing well.
What benefits have you seen since joining What The Fork?
Because we pay significantly less commission through you we are able to return the money saved in overheads back to the customer by offering a wider range of menu items on the app as well as making items cheaper. We also love that we can have direct contact with the shop, if something goes wrong you don’t have to wait 5 days for an email response you can actually pick up the phone and speak to someone.
What do you like about the What The Fork platform?
I love the way the app and partner area works from an accessibility point of view. It’s often a daily occurrence where we need to change something on the app whether it’s the price of something or adding on a menu option so it’s great that we can do this instantly. With other providers we’ve had to email in and it can be a week before it’s fixed but with you we can do small quick changes ourselves and if something more technical needs changed there is always someone on call that can help us out.
